Biomedical data is rapidly expanding and becoming more sophisticated. Where once low-throughput and easily managed data such as temperature or blood pressure were the norm, today “feature rich” genomics, transcriptomics, and metagenomics flood biomedical companies, health care facilities, and research institutions. Dealing with such data requires experience with complex statistical methods of inference and machine learning.
This hands-on workshop will cover:
- Processing steps for high-throughput “big” datasets
- Exploring high throughput data (RNA-seq)
- Preparation for machine learning exploration, visualization, and classification
- And more
During the workshop, participants will use the online T-Bioinfo platform (http://t-bio.info) which combines public domain and proprietary methods for processing, analysis, and integration of all types of –omics datasets.
