Can someone explain in detail about the formula that is used to calculate the logrank test p value for the Kaplan Meier curves under survival? I am trying to write a script where I can input a list of genes and then output a list of pvalues for the Kaplan-Meier curves for mutations in those genes. I am able to get the kaplan-meier curve for each of the genes in the list but I'm not getting the right p value so I was wondering if there is some formula that is used to calculate it.
Before proceeding, can you define what you believe to be 'the right p value'?
By right p value, I mean the p value that appears on the CBioPortal Website next to the Kaplan Meier curve when you query for a gene and a cancer
Okay. This should show you how you can obtain various P values from survival analysis: A: cox proportional hazard model
