I am using bedops closest features in the following way:
closest-features --dist --no-overlaps --closest Oct4_sorted.bed Nanog_sorted.bed > test.bed
I would just like to do one additional thing which is to sort by nearest to farthest feature, wondering if I should just use standard sort on the last column or if there is a better way through bedops? Maybe to even just limit output to elements within 1kb of one another? I guess starting from left to right in orientation to initial feature. Both would be great to do, thanks!
