Are GD format files (gdtools) 0-based?

Hi guys,

I have recently approached the genomeDiff file format in my work: http://gensoft.pasteur.fr/docs/breseq/0.23/gd_format.html

In the definition of their positions they claim that the positions reported are uint32. This, to my knowledge, means that they start from 0 and go to 2^32-1. However, in their examples I can't find positions starting from 0, only from 1.

Does anyone know if this format is 0-based and half-open like the BED format? Or is it 1-based and closed like GFF?
