PoloGGB is a non-profit public-private partnership operating in the field of genetics, ecology and genomics. We are recruiting a bioinformatician with experience in molecular biology and metagenomics to work in a collaborative project funded by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation aimed at the discovery of novel CRISPR/Cas from mosquito microbiota. The candidate will collaborate with scientists at Imperial College London and Massachusetts General Hospital (Boston, US) and with the Ecology plat-form of Polo GGB in Terni.

Candidates for this position will have a PhD (or equivalent experience) in Biological Sciences or a related discipline and experience in bioinformatic analysis. Knowledge of CRISPR is required. The ideal candidate must be able to work in a team, with a problem-solving attitude and must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of English language is required.

The position is full-time, fixed-term for up to 3 years, with the possibility of extension depending on the renewal of the project.
