How to find genes and functions of a species, for example I have Lactobacillus Crispatus species and am interested in its genes and functions related to it. I tried KEEG and it was very confusing.

It may be easier to use the tabular annotation available from NCBI for this bacterium. You can download the entire table by using Download Table link in top right corner.

Similar information should be available for other bacterial genomes. Search for the genome you are interested in here. Once the genome page opens you can find the tabular annotation link at the top of the page for each genome.
