Trying to upload data to the WashU Epigenome Browser using following steps:
- Select custom bigwig track in UCSC genome browser
- "Update custom track"
- Copy the big data URL: "https://usegalaxy.org/display_application/bbd44e69cb8906b5d038af1608458259/ucsc_bigwig/main/114858850dfd1e01/data/galaxy_randomnumbershere.bigwig"
- In Epigenome browser select "Add new custom track" and select "bigWig" option
- Paste bigWig file URL
I get the following error message: "Tracks need to be hosted on a web server that is accessible by this browser server."
Things I have tried so far: 1. Both new and legacy versions of Epigenome browser 2. Various different bigwig files 3. Doing a "hard reload" 4. Using both safari and chrome browsers 5. Downloading the "Access Control Allow Origin" chrome extension to try to address CORS settings
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated, thank you!
URL posted in #3 is generating the following error (try it in a browser window):
So it is not available to the Epigenome browser as the error says above.
Thank you, I put "randomnumbershere" instead of the actual link just as an example! But when I try it with the real link (supplied by UCSC genome browser, I don't edit it or change it at all) I still get the error.
Are you able to access that URL in a plain browser window?
Yes, I am! The URL seems to be working fine outside of the epiGenome browser.
