how to connect the hub genes from PPI to the most up-regulated genes

Hi everyone,

I submitted a paper about RNA-seq. In this study, I listed the top 10 up-regulated genes, as well as the top 10 hubs of PPI (according to degree algorithm). The editor asked me to correlated these data. I wonder what is the relationship between these data? They are analysed by different algorithm and principles.

You can work only on the network edges then. For example extract their co-expression and protein-protein interaction networks and super-impose the PPI network to the co-expression and calculate the links and biological processes shared between them.
