metal command not found

Hi everyone, I run the 'metal' command from Cygwin many time in the past. I try now to run it agani (after a year), but I receive the error message "command in not found". Does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

I have reinstall "generic-metal-2011-03-25.tar" and I then extract it. I then type in Cygwin

cd path_for_metal

metal

-bash: metal:command not found

When you type this:

cd path_for_metal

Instead of 'path_for_metal', you need to type the name of the directory where metal was installed.

Thank you for your answer Kevin, That exactly what I do. I type the directory where metal is installed, that is the directory where I extracted the "generic-metal-2011-03-25.tar". But it prints that error message...

I see, so, when you move to path_for_metal, what is the output of:

ls -la

?
