I have a few genes which I am interested in. Could I analyze the variations of those genes across the 1000 genomes sequence? How might I achieve this?

data slicer (LINK) from Ensembl is one tool that will allow you to do this.

Hi @GenoMax. I intended to find the variations of the particular gene across the different populations. I checked up the data slicer as you suggested and could not find where to input the particular gene sequence.

Futhermore, is there any other methodology that I can add to improve the depth of the work?

You can't put in gene sequences. You will need to use region/co-ordinate information to pull out slices for those genes.

I have done that, thanks. Please, how might I be able to find SNPs located in the regulatory region or exon region ?
