I would like to know, what are your costs of a storage of your data per month? Do you spend: - less than 200$ - less than 500$ - less than 1000$ - less than 2500$ - more than 2500$

I would also ask: $/TB. TB/type of project.

These costs are not that well defined as they depend on what fraction of the infrastructure one needs to support directly. My storage costs could be counted as either zero or thousands of dollars per month, depending what I would choose to include. The scale of the operation is also very important. The cost of infrastructure for storing 100TB is not just 100 x 1TB

Assuming a university settings where the internet bandwidth and hosting service and backups are essentially free all you need to contend with are the costs of computer + time.

For an environment where one needs to pay for everything themselves the costs of Amazon storage is probably a good estimate at $100 per terabyte month. Add the same for traffic.
