Mapping Taxon Id To Genus Level

I have collection of Taxon id's which I want use to fetch their corresponding organism name,superkingdom,group and genus.I found a file "lproks_0.txt" at link text which although have relevant organismic information but only limited to superkingdom and group levels of the taxonomic classification.Can anybody advice me a source file at NCBI which targets the complete taxonomic information linked to the taxon ID.I'll be grateful to you for this advice. John

The NCBI taxonomy is regularly dumped in the following file: ftp://ftp.ncbi.nih.gov/pub/taxonomy/taxdump.tar.Z

Thanks Pierre.I did try taxdump.tar.Z earlier but it doesnot contain any of the file which joins Taxon Id until genus level classification.Therefore I'm using basic taxonomic nomenclature concept and chopping the first part of the scientific name of the organism which represents it's genus.
