Come and join one of the most successful and long standing NGS groups in plant genetics!
We offer a postdoc position in computational method development for the analysis of genomic and epigenomic sequencing data.
The postdoc will be involved in the design, application and interpretation of next generation sequencing-based analysis targeting changes in the epigenetic states as response to stress in crop and model plants. Though located within the of Plant Breeding Research in Cologne, Germany, the positions offer the unique opportunity to research at the interface between academia and industry. Our group is closely collaborating with the Chemical Genomics Centre of the Max Planck Society and Bayer CropScience in Monheim, Germany.
We seek creative, flexible and highly motivated candidates with a PhD in the life sciences, bioinformatics or computational biology. We require a strong background in programming and analytical skills proven by an excellent publication record. Experience with the analysis of ngs data is a plus. Good communication skills are essential.
The position is limited to 2 years with a possibility for an extension.
Applications including C.V. and publication list should be sent in electronic form to Korbinian Schneeberger (schneeberger@mpipz.mpg.de).
