BioGyan (http://www.biogyan.com/) is a comprehensive search tool specially designed for biologists, enabling search, annotation and ranking of scientific literature from public databases using proprietary text-mining algorithms. BioGyan fetches PubMed abstracts, biological pathways and 3D-structures of proteins based on user specified search terms.
BioGyan has the following features:
- Facilitates combinatorial search using databases like PubMed, NCBI Gene, UniProt, PDB, etc.
- Allows offline reading of abstracts
- Ranks abstracts based on relevance to the search terms
- Highlights the relevant text
- Allows abstract reprioritization
- Displays biological pathways and 3D structures for queried biomolecules
- Allows export of citations in EndNote and BibTex formats.
