Hi everyone,

I'm looking for a better way to create figures representing the different phyla in my samples other than simple excel bar charts. I've tried looking for software online but so far have come across mainly genome analysis tools. Could anyone suggest some?

Thanks for your help! Angharad

Krona produces very attractive visualisations of taxonomic data

In case you have multiple samples and only want visualizations on higher levels of taxonomy (phylum, class, order), IMO heatmaps can't be beaten. For software, R, R-Studio and the always helpful R-Cookbook

GraPhlAn is a very nice tool developed in Harvard University School of Public Health. Unfortunately, it does not run online, but it is pretty easy to install and use via Python.
