Hi, I have an output vcf file from the whole exome from humans. And there are more than 8 Million SNPs, although the human Exome only contains 3.5 Million. How can this be?

Hi, these are already only bi-allelic SNPs.

Exome only contains 3.5 Million

about 1.1% of the total genome, or about 30 megabases of DNA
