Hi everybody, here I bring a question that I hope you guys can throw some light on.

I am currentrly trying to perform functional analysis over some proteomic data, the problem is that I am working on Salvia splendens and my protein identifiers are NCBI Accession, here I attach some of them:

  • XP_042009269.1
  • XP_042036804.1
  • XP_042001840.1
  • XP_042001840.1
  • XP_042052799.1
  • XP_042057413.1

My question is if there is some way to convert these NCBI Accession ids to Uniprot accession or another nomenclature because Salvia splendens is an organism with limited information available.

Looks like a proteome is available for Salvia splendens at UniProt: https://www.uniprot.org/uniprotkb?query=proteome:UP000298416

There is no direct mapping available for the XP* ID's (they are computationally predicted) so you may need to blast their sequences using UniProt Blast and then limit the searches to Salvia's taxID: https://www.uniprot.org/taxonomy/180675
