I was wondering are the human annotation GRCh38.p12 and GRCh38.p13 using the same sequence and share the same genomic coordinates? Thanks in advance

Yes they are using the same sequence for main chromosomes. See: Understanding Used Assembly: Why aren't authors specific about patch version?


Patches are accessioned scaffold sequences that represent assembly updates. They add information to the assembly without disrupting the chromosome coordinates. Patch releases are cumulative.
