Research Associate (PhD student) (m/f/d)

Area of application: Neurology Clinic

Entry: as soon as possible

Scope: part-time / 28,875 hours.

Type of contract: limited for a period of 36 months

Tasks

  • Experimental, interdisciplinary research at the interface between biopsychology, pain research and neuroscience: You use methods from behavioral and neuroscience to research mechanisms of pain processing and modulation in healthy people and patients with and without physical complaints (e.g. back pain, headache, etc.).

Qualification profile:

  • Excellent university degree (diploma or master’s degree) in the field of neuroscience, psychology, biology or a related discipline
  • Ideally first publications in peer-reviewed journals
  • A strong scientific interest in neuroscientific and neuropsychological research topics with the goal of an above-average doctorate
  • Previous experience in biopsychological and/or neuroscientific research methods in humans
  • High flexibility, commitment, ability to work in a team and excellent communication skills
  • Very good knowledge of experimental psychology, statistics and English
  • Programming knowledge (e.g. R, Matlab) and previous experience with imaging processes are an advantage, but not a requirement
