Calculating Species Abundance/Richness in Excel

I have about 3000 rows of bird species from bird point count surveys, but no quantitative data yet just qualitative. I would like to know which equations I should use to find abundance of these species as well as cumulative abundance and richness as well as richness.

If you only have qualitative data, how are you planning on performing calculations? Regardless, most of the calculations you ask for can be found using a simple google search, but are meant for quantitative data. Though, I would suggest it would be easier to read your data into something like R with the library vegan which has a whole suite of biodiversity calculations.
