I am doing my diss, For the diss I have to identify what SNPs and variants cause a decrease in lung function, and consequently hypothesize why said SNPs cause a decrease in lung function.

However... I am using summery statistics, meaning it is missing a GT value. I discussed this with my supervisor and he said that I can fake it and add pretend ones. e.g. a 1|1 for all SNPs. However now that I am doing eQTL, I need to use the GT values to associate the correlation between the variant expression and the effect on lung function ( I think ), am I incorrect. Or is this a common problem that can be bypassed.

any help would be appreciated. Orlando
