We are currently looking for two postdocs with a strong background in genetics, proteomics and/or single cell -omics data analysis. The candidate is expected to process and analyze molecular -omics data from both tissue and single cells, for improved understanding of Alzheimer progression. Experience in brain disorders, machine learning and deep learning will be a plus. At least one publication in relevant research fields.

About the lab (https://jw-yan.github.io/): We are a highly interdisciplinary team led by Dr. Jingwen Yan, an Associate Professor and Director of Bioinformatics program at Indiana University Indianapolis (IUI). Building on the extensive mult-omics and brain imaging datasets, we focus on the computational -omics studies aimed at improved understanding of 1) the functional mechanisms linked to Alzheimer risk variants and 2) the lengthy process of Alzheimer progression. We are part of multiple national collaborative projects to address Alzheimer's disease, like AI2AD and clear-AD. Over the years, we have been working closely with collaborators from Purdue University, Mayo Clinic, Duke University and UPenn.

About the location: IU Indianapolis is the medical campus of Indiana University, located in the downtown of Indianapolis. The IU School of Medicine, Regenstrief Institute, IU Simon Cancer Center and multiple research centers make IU Indianapolis a leader in cross-disciplinary research. In addition, Indianapolis is a host of many biopharmaceutical companies, e.g. Eli Lilly, Dow Argo Science and Roche, which offer great opportunities for collaborative research and career development.
