A Postdoc in my lab:
L’institut du thorax is a structure at the forefront of translational research against cardiac, vascular, metabolic and respiratory diseases. In the context of our research program on inherited cardiac arrhythmias, we develop protocols to differentiate induced pluripotent stem cells derived from patients into mature cardiomyocytes that can be used as relevant cellular models. Our current focus is the identification of specific molecular signatures during the differentiation process from iPSC to mature cardiomyocytes, at the single cell level. The postdoctoral fellow will develop NGS-based methods to characterize single-cell gene expression profiles and apply them to dissect cell composition and progenitor-to-differentiated lineage relationships in cultured cardiomyocytes derived from iPSC. He/she will work at the interface between the teams of cardiovascular genetics (J.J. Schott) and pathophysiology of cardiac arrhythmias (F. Charpentier) and in tight connection with the on-site genomics & bioinformatics core facilities (R. Redon).
