Postdoctoral Fellow or Assistant Professor in Bioinformatics, Systems Biology and Human Genetics are available at the Translational Research Center for Integrative Omics/Program for Translational Medicine of Shanghai Jiao Tong University Bio-X Institutes. Our Center employs multiple complementary approaches coupling computation and experimentation to study the diversity of the human genome, transcriptome, and proteome and their roles in human complex diseases. We work in a highly multidisciplinary and collaborative environment with effective interactions between computational scientists, experimental biologists, statisticians, and clinical teams.
We are looking for Postdoctoral Fellow or Assistant Professor(with at least two-year postdoctoral training experience) to lead one of more projects within the areas of Next Generation Sequencing and Microarray computational tools, Integrative and machine learning omic approaches and data analysis (GWAS, transcriptomics, proteomics, and metabolomics) in human cardiovascular diseases, cancer, and neuropsychiatric disorders. The positions are intended for strong candidates with a PhD in Human Genomics/Genetics, Computer Science, or Statistics. Applicants with proven experiences/expertise in human genomics or transcriptomics, systems biology, and high-throughput sequence analysis are preferred. Excellent English or Chinese communication skills are required, and prospective candidates should be highly motivated and able to think creatively. Truly exceptional candidates with only a computational or statistic background will also be considered.
