How can I calculate signal-to-noise ratio for example in graph showing k-mers peaks against chromosome bin. Is there good paper describing methods regarding calculation of signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) in the field of bio-bioinformatics or genomics. Thank you

I think that this manuscript may be of interest to you: https://academic.oup.com/bioinformatics/article/30/24/3541/2422237/KmerStream-streaming-algorithms-for-k-mer

In it, they refer to 'error' loosely in relation to signal-to-noise, I believe. You may want to read it to see if it helps.
