Hi, does anyone know if there is a specialized database for chicken pathways, gene information, etc, different than KEGG, or Entrez gene?

BTW, i googled it and either there isn't or it has a specific name i don't know about.

i'm looking something like yeastgenome.org for chickens.

Regards

Have you tried Ensembl and UCSC Genome Browser? Both sites have a lot of information, files to download and APIs to use.

I just remembered: there is a gallus Reactome: http://gallus.reactome.org/ I don't know how current it is.

You can find a few others on the Resources Wiki: http://wiki.reactome.org/index.php/Reactome_Resource_Guide

There is also AgBase and chicken is one of the organisms they cover. They have GO annotations for chicken gene products and have links to other resources.

And don't forget about WikiPathways, an open source, community curated resource for biological pathways. All the content is under creative commons and there are lot of programmatic access options. Here's the list of their chicken pathways.
