I'd like to see where PV92 (used in Alu/PCR experiments) is located on the genome (for example: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/projects/mapview/maps.cgi?TAXID=9606&CHR=16&MAPS=ideogr%2Ccntg-r%2Cregions%2CugHs%2Cgenes&QUERY=PV92&BEG=&END=PV92&oview=default)

I have tried the search tools in the link above and another genome explorer, but PV92 is not found. Perhaps I should be using some other nomenclature?

Can you give us more to help you out with? Does this question pertain to bioinformatics? I'm not a human geneticist, but isn't PV92 a transposon that is used as a "geographic" marker? Does that mean it is listed in the genome browser in all the accessions?

According to this entry in the Allele Frequency Database, PV92 is classified as an insertion in the CDH13 gene and so has a dbSNP ID: rs3138523.

So you can visualize its location and other information at this dbSNP page.
