The Integrative Genomics of Ageing Group is seeking a bioinformatician to employ computational biology approaches to study ageing and longevity. We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual to develop and apply sophisticated data-mining methods and computational models at the interface of biology, mathematics and computer science. You will work under the supervision of Dr Joao Pedro de Magalhaes.
You should have a degree in computer sciences or biology with bioinformatics experience in the HE Sector or within industry. You should have knowledge of functional genomics and experience in scripting. Experience in the analysis of large-scale genome and/or transcriptome data would be advantageous. The post is available until 30 September 2014 initially.
