Hi all,

I observed that NGS sequence reads have a lower quality towards the 3' end. I would like to know the reason for having low quality reads towards 3' end. Hope someone can help me.

Thank you inadvance

I've updated ashutoshmits's answer with the correct link. The gist is that there is an accumulation of errors and noise over time (the same phenomenon occurs in sanger sequencing).
