Come join us at the Applied Bioinformatics Core of Weill Cornell Medicine in New York City! Located next to the East River in the Upper East Side, we are part of the thriving Tri-Institutional research environment created by Weill Cornell Medicine, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, and Rockefeller University (and just a Citi bike ride away from NYU, the New York Genome Center, Columbia Uni and Mt Sinai). We are a well-established central service group that provides analytical capabilities related to all types of 'omics data spanning virtually all areas of basic science and biomedical research.

We are looking for a bright and motivated person with a strong background in bioinformatics (R, bash, python) and a deep understanding of molecular biology. And while we are happy to contribute to amazing papers (such as characterizing a new cell type important for Type I Diabetes or studying epigenetic mechanisms of neuronal plasticity), the most important part of our job is to help others further their research and to truly understand and communicate the story the data holds.

If you're passionate about detail-oriented, in-depth analyses and translating statistically tested findings into a biological context, you'll love this position. It also helps if you enjoy teaching, staying up-to-date on benchmarks and gold standards, and interacting with all sorts of people across the entire academic spectrum of Weill Cornell, including students, faculty and MDs.

For more details, see our website ("Join Our Team") or reach out directly. We're looking forward to hearing from you!
