How to pass from DNA to AA fasta

Hi,

I hope you are well. I am trying to figure out how can I pass a eukaryotic gene that has introns to aa sequence. The only way that I have thought is to transcribe all the gene then translate it with the ORF that is correct, and then do a blast for proteins. With the highest identity% entry make an alignment and then cut the parts that do not have in common.

Any other idea, please?

Thank you for your help and time.

If you know the intron sequence, remove it and use ORFfinder

Do you know another alternative If I do not have the sequence of the intron?

If it is only one gene, maybe you can try to find it manually using the GT/AG universal intron motifs.

What do you mean by "pass" in the context of a gene?

Hi i mean to convert it from DNA to AA, to do an in silico translation

You should have just said "translate to AA" then, "pass" doesn't really mean anything.
