Hi,

I have been trying to find some specific receptor proteins in Giraffes (mainly on UniProt), but it seems the data is very limited. I stumbled upon this article from nature (https://www.nature.com/articles/ncomms11519), which indicates the dataset is a lot bigger than is publicly available. Is there any way of getting access to such data? Any sites? Maybe it is possible to pay my way out of it?

Thanks!

Alexander

Can you highlight the section in the paper that says this? Only way to do this would be to publish the genome partly.

What are you looking for? Gene annotations or genomic assemblies? Since Giraffes are mammals, you should be able to find your homologous receptor proteins from the Zoonomia multiple-sequence alignments, even if not yet annotated properly.
