The Practical Genomics Workshop is a hands-on, designed for biologists, and introduces students to programming, analysis techniques, and statistics.
This year's workshop will be held at the Carnegie Institution - Department of Embryology in Baltimore, Maryland.
Cost for the three day workshop is $500 for faculty and staff, and $275 for students and postdocs who automatically qualify for a subsidy generously provided by the Johns Hopkins University ICTR.
A copy of last year's agenda is available here.
Do NIH/NIAID Post-Bac IRTAs qualify for the subsidy?
I should clarify that the subsidy only applies to Hopkins students. Thanks for asking.
Matt Shirley Does the subsidy apply to Hopkins alumni?
I just checked and the subsidy is only for current students and postdocs.
Just to clarify, the website says for faculty and staff, is this only open to hopkins people?
Absolutely not. We have no restrictions on who can register.
Hello Matt, the genomics.jhu.edu website is giving me an internal server error. I need to get the driving distance and any details on meals (e.g. if they're provided), in order to handle this with the NIH.
Thanks for the notice. I'm getting the maintainer to fix it right now!
The site is back up.
