List of gram negative bacteria

Hi all,

So I downloaded NCBI bacterial genomes (2785 in all) and did some analyses on them. Now I have to separate my results which belong to gram negative/positive bacteria. I am having trouble finding a list of all gram +/- bacteria. Does anyone have an idea about it?

Do not forget Gram-negative and Gram-positive are not monophyletic groups, and it may be wise to use a more fine-grained and phylogenetically informed classification.

I realised that, but cant find any documented classification which clearly separates out gram +ve and -ve. Maybe NCBI should give that out in their next release of bacterial genomes.

Ah cheers man, I dont know how I missed that in wiki. I would just have to save the page in html and get all the names through a script. But should work.
