Finding gene function for several genes

Dear all, I have a list with more than 300 genes that I need to search for their functions in sheep and in other species. I am currently searching one by one in the NCBI website. Is there a way to automate this? Any suggestion would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

There is almost certainly a way to automate this. However, you have to be more specific. What does your list look like? Gene names? GI numbers? Please post a few examples. What is your desired output like? Again, perhaps you could provide examples of desired output?

Have you tried BioMart? See help video. Filter by your list of IDs and get GO terms as attributes.
