Hi,

I did the alignment to my fastq files using STAR. However, I didn't include --outSAMstrandField intronMotif option in the command. So, the resulting sam files are lacking xs tags which are necessary for downstream analysis (Stringtie/cufflinks). Is there a way to add xs tag to a sam file after the alignment , or I have to redo the alignment ?

Thanks
