How to find the longest annotated 3' UTR in human or mouse genomes?

I would like to find out what are the longest know 3' UTRs in human and mouse genomes. This should of course also take into account alternative polyadenylation.

What have you tried? Hint, you could do this with a combination of biomart, samtools and awk.
