Hi everybody, I have a list 2961 genes ID (only) with mixed nomenclature and in some unknown for me. I would like to know how I can convert this genes ID into UCSC IDs.

Any clue?

Thanks a lot!

Can you add a few examples of the gene ID you have? Also indicate what genome these are from.

You may also want to correctly use UCSC in the post/title above.

For example, the most common are:

1500002O20Rik
AA465934
Acbd4
B430306N03Rik
F730043M19Rik

Not at all ... I don't know the gene ID and the geneStart and geneEnd

UCSC ID's are not commonly used (except perhaps at UCSC). Can you tell us why you need your ID's mapped to those (perhaps an alternate solution may be appropriate based on your answer)?

Because I have to match them with other UCSC ID's. However, for me should be fine if I could transform this random IDs in ENSEMBL ID's for example (or get the coordinates for all of them)

What do they look like now?

These appear to be Mouse ID's so go here and then convert them into Ensembl/Entrez ID's. I tested the examples above and they all work.

Yes you are totally right, thank you a lot. However, after that I can use BioMart to get the geneStart, geneEnd and also the UCSC IDs. ;)
