What is the best way to Identify type strains and proxytype strains among all bacterial refseq assemblies in NCBI?

Whether assembly_summary_refseq.txt in NCBI ftp [ftp://ftp.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/genomes/refseq/assembly_summary_refseq.txt] can help in this regard?

Seems so from the file link in your post. The last column (relation_to_type_material) has following possible entries-

relation_to_type_material

  • assembly from proxytype material
  • assembly from synonym type material
  • assembly from type material
