We are undertaking a tag removal/merging operation of the tags on this page: http://www.biostars.org/tag/list/

In each case we add tags to a file either as single tags that are to be removed or as pairs of replacing the first tag with the second:

• Deleted tags: https://github.com/ialbert/biostar-central/blob/master/import/delete-tags.txt
• Merge tags: https://github.com/ialbert/biostar-central/blob/master/import/merge-tags.txt

Feel free to contribute to each list in whichever format seems easier: list your candidates in an answer to this post, send an email to [e-mail] with files in attachment, pull request via GitHub ...
