We are establishing a genome assembly project of local goat breed in Bangladesh .if we have 10x reads Coverage, Is this enough for? And also need some information regarding this project, what are the best tools for assembly? Commercial or non-commercial.
Google is a heck of a tool - doesn't do genome assembly, but gives good results when searching for
best genome assembler
.Another great resource: How To Ask Good Questions On Technical And Scientific Forums
What is the sequencing platform? What is the organism? What is the genome size? What is the purpose of the assembly? 10x is low coverage, but it will be fine if all you want is to find microsatellites and design primers for them, for example. For most other uses, though, it won't be enough.
No (sorry but there is no gentler way to put it). You may get some kind of an assembly but it would be far from the answer you are going to be looking for.
you will need to add some more information to get meaningful answers I'm afraid.
eg start by mentioning: what kind of species? which seq data type? genome size, things like that.
