Hello Everyone,

I am an healthcare data analyst who analyzes EHR data. But I would like to learn about genomic data analysis. So, I would like to know the basics of terminologies like Gene, Sequencing, SNPs, CNVs, etc... Can you please suggest some book or tutorial links where I can know about all these terms first before I get hands-on using programming languages and packages?

There are multiple books under "Biostar" series. Which one should I pick?

Hi akshaykum684, you should simply use google and read some basic molecular biology textbooks to get a general background first. Wikipedia will do fine as well since you seem to require the very basics. Your question is not strictly bioinformatics and might therefore get closed.

Can't Biostar collection books help? I was looking for a resource in google and one of the links directed me to this page?

In addition, can't we logout of Biostar book account page?

Once I logged in, I am able to see all the contents but how do we log out?

Biostar collection can't help with really basic concepts since those can be found in text books. NCBI Bookshelf has several free books available. See this.

As for biostar handbook, if you click on Access your account you will reach you profile page. There is a Log out button there.
