If you just have a single file then that's typically single-end. Paired-end reads normally come in two separate files (with R1 and R2 or _1 and _2 in the file names).

You will have to post a few reads. As @Devon pointed out a single file generally means single-end reads unless this was a file where the paired-reads were interleaved (i.e. read 1 follows read 2 in the same file).
